Who We Are
This is a blog for our family home school. All members of our school will be contributors. We chose to do this mainly to give ourselves some accountability and an opportunity to share what we've learned. If along the way it helps other homeschooling families (or inspires others to homeschool), we will feel humbled and blessed.
We embrace the philosophy of the classical homeschool. We are learning together about literature, math, history, art, architecture, poetry, music, nature, science, and whatever strikes our fancy. Our learning experiences are divided between traditional "seatwork," learning from literature, and through hands-on activities. (This is also the ideal that we are trying to achieve, but is not always reality. Yet.)
We also study together the gospel of Jesus Christ. Theodore Roosevelt said, "To educate a person in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society." The Bible teaches, "And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children" (Isaiah 54:13)
So come along and learn with us, cheer us on in our quest, and leave us a comment now and then!

The picture of the missionaries makes my heart so glad.
The sunrising behind the mountain is gorgeous.
That was such a fun day - thanks for the pictures. Don't you just love a Provo parade? Gotta love the missionaries.
